System Spring 2027
SYSTEM presented its Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collection, SEEKER: The Journey, in Paris with a focus on relaxed tailoring, draping, neutral tones and washed textures. The collection draws inspiration from Hermann Hesse’s novel Knulp, centring on a character who lives a wandering life defined by freedom, solitude and quiet confidence.
The collection explores this idea through garments that suggest movement and impermanence. Rather than polished finishes or heavy decoration, SYSTEM focuses on natural textures and surfaces shaped by wear, time and daily use.
Relaxed tailoring is a core element of the season. H-line jackets, cigarette trousers and draped constructions create silhouettes that balance structure with softness. Garments follow the body loosely while maintaining a grounded sense of proportion.
Draping introduces fluidity across the collection, while washed finishes and softened surfaces reinforce the idea of clothing that carries traces of lived experience. The result is a wardrobe defined by restraint and ease.
The palette is anchored in deep neutrals, particularly browns and khakis, with subtle accents of violet and olive green. Materials include cotton in varying densities, soft jersey and lightweight functional fabrics, all treated with washed finishes to enhance texture.
SYSTEM presented the collection at the Musée des Archives Nationales in Paris’s Marais district, a historic building featuring classical architecture and a secluded courtyard. Natural light shifting through the space throughout the day echoed the collection’s focus on subtlety and surface.
Overall, SEEKER: The Journey presents a wardrobe shaped by movement rather than permanence, reflecting a quiet approach to elegance grounded in proportion, texture and lived-in refinement.
