MSGM Spring 2027

For Spring/Summer 2027, Massimo Giorgetti returned to the colourful, graphic language that has defined MSGM for 17 years, while introducing a new collaboration with the late Italian pop artist Mario Schifano. Schifano’s stars and palm trees appeared across a handful of looks, bringing his vivid, energetic imagery into a collection already packed with colour, prints and texture. The collaboration is set to expand, with further pieces due to arrive alongside a major Schifano exhibition at Milan’s Palazzo Reale in 2027.

Giorgetti opened with stripes distorted through tie-dye techniques across jersey, knitwear and trousers, before moving into crisp cotton shirting with contrasting collars and cuffs and sharply coloured tuxedo trousers. The palette became progressively louder, from fluffy pink polo shirts with tomato-red jeans to psychedelic neon florals worked into pencil skirts, dresses and neckties. Sequins, raffia, brocade, Lycra and tweed added further texture without taking away from the collection's clean, graphic quality.

A streamlined new MSGM logo, created by Studio Blanco, also made its debut, signalling a slight sharpening of the brand's visual identity. But the collection remained recognisably Giorgetti: energetic, playful and unapologetically bright. The show ended with a shower of white confetti, an appropriately theatrical finish to a collection built around colour, movement and Italian pop.
