Ermanno Scervino Spring 2027

For Spring/Summer 2027, Ermanno Scervino set sail for Treasure Island, drawing on 18th-century pirates, naval uniforms and the romance of the high seas. The collection balanced tailored precision with a softer sensuality, bringing corset lacing to double-breasted jackets, sailor trousers to sharply cut tailoring and loose tuxedo shirts over pouf and leather miniskirts. The result felt nautical without becoming costume, with Scervino keeping the references firmly rooted in luxury.

Lace and satin brought a more delicate mood to the collection. Sparkling rose lace slip dresses, coppery satin and lace bustier tops were paired with tiered skirts, while a recurring island landscape of palms and beaches appeared as an intarsia motif on oversized sweaters and across denim jackets and jeans. Scervino, who does not typically work with denim, treated it with the same attention as more traditionally luxurious fabrics, giving it a faded, lived-in quality without losing its refinement.

The collection's Treasure Island theme came through most clearly in the outerwear. Soft cotton and denim jackets arrived in red, gold, blue and black, finished with elaborate gold frogging across cuffs, collars and fronts. The detail recalled both 18th-century military dress and the embellished jackets of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's, but was styled casually over lace dresses, sailor trousers and short skirts. It was an approach that captured what Scervino does particularly well: taking familiar references and translating them through Italian craftsmanship, handwork and a distinctly modern sense of ease.
