Kiko Kostadinov returned to Paris Fashion Week with a Fall/Winter 2026 collection grounded in construction, materiality, and subtle innovation. Drawing inspiration from Dutch architect and Benedictine monk Hans van der Laan, whose work emphasises numerical ratios and harmony between humans and their surroundings, Kostadinov approached the season as an exercise in incremental design. Cardboard-and-tape sculptures by Oscar Tuazon echoed this theme, presenting identical forms at shifted angles, much like the nuanced variations of the garments themselves.

The collection explored sculptural tailoring and functional detail, from elongated coats with asymmetric closures to paneled knitwear and trousers with hybridized seams. Outerwear balanced formal and utilitarian sensibilities, featuring box pleats, diagonal seams, contrast piping, and multi-functional pockets. Knitwear offered geometric patterns and high-neck collars, while hybrid footwear fused hiking boot durability with sneaker-like performance, cementing the marriage of utility and forward-looking style.

A muted palette of slate, moss, and deep burgundy dominated the runway, accented with flashes of metallic for a futuristic edge. Kostadinov referenced mid-century menswear codes and Eastern European workwear archetypes, exploring the tension between rigid uniformity and urban fluidity. The result was a collection that felt measured yet inventive, offering restrained experimentation that maintains wearability and commercial appeal for the modern city dweller.
