Isabel Marant Spring 2027
For Spring 2027, Kim Bekker softened Isabel Marant’s usual rock ’n’ roll edge, drawing on the hazy light of Los Angeles and southern Europe, vintage photography and the easy silhouettes of the 1930s.
Inspired by Sam Haskins’ photographs from the 1960s, the collection played with layering and transparency through floaty tiered dresses, lace, crochet and faded paisley. Short dresses came with little capes and poncho tops, while beaded edges, hazy prints and sheer fabrics added to the dreamy quality. Wide-leg cotton shorts, guipure lace tops, camisoles and slipdresses brought a more relaxed take on the romantic mood.
There was glamour, but it never felt too polished. Cotton jumpsuits nodded to 1930s factory workers, while army trousers were paired with draped beaded lingerie tops and sparkly vests. Accessories kept the mood delicate, from shell-pink butterfly belts to silver earrings and Art Deco-inspired details.
After a year as Isabel Marant’s sole creative director, Bekker offered a softer interpretation of the house. The collection traded its usual attitude for something more sun-faded, fluid and quietly romantic.
