Hermes Spring 2027

Loose and light are not the first words that usually come to mind when thinking about Hermès, but Nadège Vanhée made a convincing case for both in her Spring 2027 collection. Following the California-inspired “second chapter” of Fall 2026, the Paris show carried that same sense of ease into a wardrobe that felt relaxed, tactile and quietly sensual.

Sheer knit dresses and skirts, bandeau tops with tailored trousers and micro shorts, and coats finished with freewheeling fringe all contributed to the collection’s laid-back mood. Sleeves were casually pushed above the elbow, while layers were styled to encourage a little discovery. Zippers opened jackets into unexpected flares, lowered necklines and dropped hems, while strategically placed cutouts offered flashes of skin without making the clothes feel overtly revealing.

The colour palette gradually warmed as the collection progressed. Creamy white and icy blue gave way to camel, black and reddish brown, before moving through terra-cotta, chocolate and sand. A run of slate grey and deep brown then provided the backdrop for a vivid burst of yellow, red and orange, recalling the colours of a Californian sunset.

Despite the relaxed attitude, this was still unmistakably Hermès. Vanhée’s approach to craftsmanship was evident in the conversation between contrasting materials: mesh knits with technical outerwear, suede with polished leather, sheer dresses with leather belts and pleated scarves layered over bandeau tops. The accessories followed a similarly practical rhythm, ranging from oversized bags to slim structured styles, alongside calf-high suede and leather boots and simple T-strap sandals.

After more than a decade at the helm of Hermès womenswear, Vanhée continues to find ways of loosening the house without losing what makes it distinctive. Spring 2027 felt like another step in that direction: less about the weight of heritage, more about what happens when that heritage is allowed to move.
