Gauchere Spring 2027

Marie-Christine Statz brought a lighter touch to Gauchere for Spring 2027, loosening the brand’s minimalist tailoring with fluid fabrics, softer construction and a stronger sense of movement. “There’s definitely tailoring, but nothing rigid,” she said, and that balance between precision and ease shaped the collection.

Designed around the busy lives of the women Statz knows, the wardrobe felt practical without becoming anonymous. Butter yellow and muted mauve softened the usual black, grey and beige palette, with occasional flashes of red. Suit jackets gave way to shirt-style and sleeveless versions, while viscose, crinkled Japanese nylon and draped poplin introduced movement. Silver poppers and piping added a subtle sporty edge.

Synthetic leather brought back Gauchere’s sharper urban side, appearing in straight-leg trousers, boxy shorts and an oversized shirt jacket worn as a dress. Scrunchable purses continued the practical theme, while rectangular crop tops and mid-calf A-line skirts in heavy jersey kept things clean but less structured.

There was also more emphasis on the body. Several looks sat closer to the figure than is usual for Gauchere, exposing the midriff beneath open shirts or creating a double-waist effect with belted sleeveless tops tucked into matching trousers. It was a subtle shift, but one that made the collection feel more relaxed, mobile and distinctly of the moment.
