Giorgio Armani Spring 2027

For Spring/Summer 2027, Silvana Armani continued to shape her own direction for the house, while keeping her uncle Giorgio's influence firmly in view. Titled “Evolution”, the collection marked a subtle shift, most notably through the introduction of cotton — a fabric Giorgio Armani had famously avoided — alongside the tailoring and fluid silhouettes that remain central to the brand. Wide-leg cotton trousers and knee-length shorts were paired with hoodie windbreakers and strong-shouldered jackets drawn from the house's 1980s archive.

Family history became part of the collection itself. An embellished bomber featured a portrait of Giorgio Armani in black tie, while his first Holy Communion suit was recreated on the runway, complete with its tie, white gloves, rosette and covered buttons. The original image of Armani wearing the suit was later revealed by the company, turning an archival piece into something deeply personal. The collection's tailoring continued the conversation, with longer jackets, pronounced shoulders and wider trousers, alongside black and navy tuxedo jackets.

Eveningwear brought the familiar Armani glamour, moving from minimalist deep-V gowns to cropped sequin jackets and shimmering dresses. A white gown covered in loose fringe recalled streaks of water, while tiny butterfly details appeared on another sparkling look. There were moments that felt more firmly rooted in the 1980s, but the collection's most interesting idea was its balance between inheritance and individuality: preserving the codes of Giorgio Armani while allowing Silvana to begin writing the next chapter herself.
