Eckhaus Latta Spring 2027

Fifteen years into the label, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta continue to evolve their language through experimentation, movement and clothes that remain grounded in everyday dressing.

Eckhaus Latta’s Spring 2027 collection continued the designers’ instinct for evolution rather than reinvention. Based between New York and Los Angeles, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta have developed a vocabulary that sits somewhere between casual and dressed-up, with each season building on ideas already in motion. They describe this process as “making more friends” — allowing certain concepts to stay, develop and eventually move on.

This season, new energy came through fabric treatments, washes and subtle shifts in texture. A metallic plum skirt in cross-woven polyester caught the light as it moved, while jersey organza gathered and scrunched around the body. Transparent layers twisted and moulded to the figure, with curved cuts designed to encourage movement and different ways of wearing the clothes rather than dictating a single silhouette.

The collection remained wearable without becoming predictable. There were few overtly conceptual gestures, aside from detachable zippered flaps appearing on the backs of some trousers, but the clothes still carried a distinct point of view. That balance has become central to Eckhaus Latta: pieces can feel directional and considered while remaining believable as part of someone’s actual wardrobe.

After 15 years, the label’s approach feels less concerned with chasing novelty than allowing ideas to mature through use. The continued dialogue between experimentation and practicality gives Eckhaus Latta its particular character, while the J.Crew collaboration shown after the main collection reinforced how naturally the designers can move between fashion experimentation and everyday dressing. Spring 2027 was another chapter in that ongoing conversation — familiar, evolving and deliberately open-ended.
