Cecilie Bahnsen Spring 2027

Cecilie Bahnsen played with the tension between Victorian grandeur and everyday ease for Spring 2027, bringing exaggerated pannier shapes into conversation with denim, lingerie and lightweight fabrics. The result was romantic without feeling precious, with enormous volumes balanced by the designer’s characteristic lightness.

The collection expanded Bahnsen’s vocabulary beyond her familiar ethereal dresses. Sculptural silhouettes and traditional draping pushed volume towards the front of the body while keeping the back relatively slim, creating exaggerated shapes that somehow remained easy to wear. Models wandered onto the runway with their hands tucked into jean pockets, turning the daytime ballgown into something unexpectedly casual.

Lace made its debut in the collection, decorated with delicate sequins and beading, while traditional jacquards were softened into silkier constructions. A dense fil coupé from the brand’s first season was revisited in a lighter form, alongside a stronger focus on lingerie-inspired pieces including bra tops.

Denim, a long-standing part of the Cecilie Bahnsen wardrobe, returned in dark Italian-made indigo washes, providing a welcome dose of rawness against the collection’s softer fabrics. That contrast became the point: Victorian volume, delicate femininity and streetwear ease, all held together with Bahnsen’s unusually light touch.
