Ashlyn Spring 2027

For Spring 2027, Ashlynn Park turned the simple square into an exercise in movement, transforming two-dimensional geometry into fluid, three-dimensional clothing.

Ashlynn Park’s Spring 2027 collection began with an intentionally simple idea: the square. Continuing her architectural approach to pattern-making, Park explored what could happen when a flat geometric shape was folded, cut, draped and joined. The result was clothing that appeared straightforward at first glance, but revealed increasingly intricate construction on the body.

Polo shirts developed angular drapes and exposed backs, while a robin’s egg blue bandeau and matching skirt demonstrated the relationship between flat pattern and three-dimensional form. Waterfall-draped viscose jersey skirts were created by manipulating the hem of the original square, while bulbous jackets continued Park’s “Puzzle” series and ruched panels extended her Shikaku designs.

Colour brought another dimension to the architectural language. Park’s preferred black appeared alongside crisp white, while green, mustard yellow and red added warmth and energy. Layered wool-silk knits with ruffled hems remained an important part of the collection, while lighter fabrics and reduced tailoring made the clothes feel appropriate for spring.

For Park, the wearer ultimately completes the architecture. A piece of fabric becomes something structured and dimensional once it is worn, making the body part of the design process. Spring 2027 demonstrated that Park can take an apparently basic geometric idea and turn it into clothes that feel considered without losing their ease.
