Zuhair Murad Fall 2026 Couture

For Fall 2026 Couture, Zuhair Murad imagined a heroine who refuses to surrender. Inspired by ice castles, secret gardens and enchanted worlds, the collection explored the contrast between darkness and light — a fantasy narrative that felt especially personal during a period of uncertainty.

The show notes described a woman who remains “powerful, unbroken, protective and magnificent” in a world falling apart, and that spirit carried through the collection. Dramatic black velvet gowns, sweeping capes and cocooning silhouettes created a sense of strength and protection, while delicate floral embroidery, shimmering embellishment and butterfly motifs introduced moments of beauty and renewal.

Murad explained that the roses appearing throughout the collection represented resilience — a reminder that beauty can continue to grow even during difficult times. Yet the message felt broader than fantasy alone. As the designer continues to operate his maison between Beirut and Paris amid ongoing challenges in the region, the collection reflected his own determination to preserve creativity and optimism.

Known for his mastery of red-carpet glamour, Murad stayed close to the codes that have made him a favourite among celebrities while refining his vision with sharper tailoring, sleek velvet trousers and striking contrasts. Some looks literally embodied the collection’s duality, pairing butterfly embellishments on one side of the body with dramatic black draping on the other.

With Jennifer Lopez attending his runway show after more than 15 years of collaboration, the enduring appeal of Murad’s couture remains clear. Fall 2026 was not a departure from his signature world of glamour, but a reminder of why it continues to resonate: because beyond the embroidery, crystals and fantasy lies a message of resilience — that beauty can survive even in the darkest moments.
