Vaquera Spring 2027

Vaquera softened its confrontational edge for Spring 2027, trading shock value for 1930s glamour, vivid colour and a playful sense of optimism.

Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee continued their fascination with the American Dream, money and who gets to have it, but this time through a more polished wardrobe. Maids’ uniforms, workwear and exaggerated bows sat alongside tweed boater hats, fluid drop-waist dresses, jodhpurs and cropped trenches, giving the collection a distinctly French twist. The attitude remained unmistakably Vaquera, with models strutting, blowing kisses and playing to the cameras, but the more extreme pieces were notably absent.

Instead, the designers found rebellion in colour. Five black-and-white party dresses returned at the end of the show transformed into fluorescent brights, a playful nod to The Wizard of Oz and its leap from monochrome into Technicolor. The shift reflected a wider change in the label’s approach: as Taubensee put it, clothes no longer need to scream to make a point.

The finale made that idea literal, with DiCaprio and Taubensee taking to the runway to sing Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe”. Alongside the theatrics came a Crocs collaboration and Vaquera’s first partnership with Mykita, which turned classic aviator and cat-eye shapes into elongated, almost melted frames. It was still Vaquera, just with the volume turned down slightly.
