Études Studio Fall/Winter 2026
Études Studio’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, titled Résonances, unfolded at Paris’s Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music, an apt setting for a show exploring the relationship between sound, form and perception. Founders Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Égry have long treated fashion as a medium for research, where clothes exist in conversation with art and publishing. This season, they looked to the figure of the soundmaker, drawing inspiration from John Cage’s experimental philosophy and the hypnotic rhythms of 1990s electronic music. The result was a collection that felt at once cerebral and instinctive, balancing restraint with sensory depth.
Texture became a kind of frequency throughout the show. Zipped utility jackets, modular coats and fluid tailoring carried the tactile precision of musical composition, while deep blacks, browns and greys were interrupted by diffused violet tones that hinted at altered states of mind. Collaborating with Berlin-based artist Jeremy Shaw, Études translated imagery from his films into prints, merging visual and sonic experience into a single aesthetic. The atmosphere was immersive rather than performative, underscored by a live soundtrack from British producer Actress, which pulsed through the space like a second skin.
Amid this interplay of sound and structure came a new milestone for the brand: the launch of its first signature accessory. A messenger bag, crafted in multiple fabrics and sizes, grounded the collection’s more conceptual gestures in utility. As with everything Études creates, the object felt considered rather than decorative, made to endure beyond the season. Résonances distilled what has always made the label compelling: an ability to make intellectual ideas feel tangible, transforming clothing into both an artistic statement and a way of seeing the world differently.
