Moschino Fall 2026

Adrian Appiolaza’s Fall 2026 collection for Moschino was a love letter to community and creativity. Taking inspiration from Franco Moschino’s 1988 “complici” collection, which celebrated the friends and collaborators behind the brand, Appiolaza revived that spirit for a new generation. The collection was modelled by his own team, photographed by Francesc Planes, capturing a lively and colourful glimpse of life inside the Moschino atelier. The result felt joyful and human, grounded in friendship rather than concept, and brimming with the tongue-in-cheek energy that has long defined the house.

Appiolaza approached the season with a sense of humour and restraint. Silhouettes nodded to the 1980s, reinterpreted with ease and wearability, while everyday studio tools became central to the story. Measuring tapes were turned into belts and sandal straps, dry-cleaning receipts were pinned to shirts, and archive labels reappeared as collage-like prints across shirting, skirts and boxers. There was wit in the details, but also affection for the craft itself. Even the collection’s motifs of puzzles, sheep and raindrops spoke to real lives, reflecting the individuality of the people who bring the clothes to life.

For all its irony, the collection carried a clear sense of optimism. Reflective surfaces, pieced-together leathers and familiar Moschino symbols, from trompe-l’œil to the ever-smiling logo, appeared with a contemporary twist. Accessories took on a sculptural irreverence, with handbags shaped like corn cobs, clouds and rolls of toilet paper, playful reminders not to take fashion too seriously. In Appiolaza’s hands, Moschino feels mischievous but sincere, a brand that still believes in the joy of dressing up even when the world seems determined to do the opposite.
