Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2027

For Spring 2027, Tommy Hilfiger revisited his 1990s archive, giving familiar prep and Americana codes relaxed proportions, updated fabrics and a distinctly contemporary attitude.

Tommy Hilfiger looked to his own archive for Spring 2027, revisiting the signature pieces that helped define his 1990s identity and giving them a new beginning. The red, white and blue palette remained, but the proportions were deliberately altered: denim and varsity jackets were cropped, shorts became shorter and much baggier, polos were oversized and rugby shirts were reworked in washed silk. Rather than simply reproducing the past, Hilfiger wanted the classics to feel relevant to a new generation.

His signature sailing jackets returned in bright yellow and red, with the latter particularly striking in a combination of suede, leather and technical waterproof fabrics. A long silk dress referenced Hilfiger’s famous 1985 Times Square campaign, while oversized totes, patchwork and tartan bucket hats and a reissued 1990s skater sneaker continued the conversation with the brand’s history. The effect was nostalgic without feeling like a straight revival.

The setting added another layer of personal history. Held at the Plaza, where Hilfiger lived for a decade, the show became a celebration of New York as much as the clothes themselves. Gigi Hadid opened in a beige blazer, striped silk shirt and oversized red trousers, while Romeo Beckham closed the runway before Slayyyter performed live, reinforcing Hilfiger’s long-standing belief that fashion shows should combine fashion with music, entertainment and culture.

Spring 2027 ultimately makes the case for looking backwards without becoming stuck there. Hilfiger’s archive remains the foundation, but relaxed proportions, playful styling and a more youthful attitude give those familiar pieces a new context. It is classic Tommy, just loosened up for now.
