For Spring 2027, Sergio Hudson turned the Bond fantasy on its head, placing his formidable woman in the starring role through sharp tailoring, vivid colour, flashes of skin and a more overt sense of sensuality.

At the Rainbow Room, Hudson imagined a world where the woman was the agent and the man the ingénue. The cinematic premise gave his familiar vision of the powerful woman a slightly different energy: still controlled and impeccably dressed, but less concerned with restraint. Chartreuse and magenta pantsuits arrived with dark glasses and trailing scarves, establishing the collection’s glamorous, almost covert mood from the beginning.

The tailoring remained central, with strong shoulders and precise construction defining much of the collection. But jackets plunged lower over bare skin, skirts opened into high slits and chiffon blouses appeared beneath suits, introducing a more revealing side to Hudson’s wardrobe. Embroidered lace offered a softer continuation of the laser-cut latex explored previously, while slim boot-cut trousers brought a more streamlined silhouette alongside his familiar wide-leg shapes.

Colour was pushed to an almost cinematic intensity, moving through fiery red, electric blue and chartreuse before returning to the clarity of black and white. The quieter looks were often the most convincing, particularly crisp shirting, sculpted jackets and long fluid trousers that demonstrated Hudson’s ability to refine familiar wardrobe pieces without overcomplicating them. A short-sleeved French-cuff white blouse, for instance, showed how a small adjustment can make an everyday staple feel distinctly his.

The collection also marked a broader expansion of the Sergio Hudson universe. A decade after creating the slinky jumpsuit worn for Kendall Jenner’s 20th birthday, Hudson revisited the silhouette while introducing natural-diamond jewellery, eyewear and a first footwear collaboration with Larroudé. The pointed-toe stiletto, inspired by a style worn by his mother, added a personal element to a growing lifestyle proposition. For all the cinematic references, however, the collection ultimately returned to a straightforward idea: these are clothes designed to be worn, and Hudson is increasingly finding ways to make his formidable woman feel both powerful and desirable.
