Schiaparelli Spring 2027

Daniel Roseberry pressed reset for Spring 2027. After deleting his social media apps, driving around the U.S. East Coast and training for the New York Marathon, the Schiaparelli creative director returned with a collection that felt looser and more instinctive, built around mix-and-match separates and a largely monochrome palette.

The show took place in a basement beneath the Carrousel du Louvre, transformed into a cosy speakeasy. Maggie Maurer opened in a backward tuxedo dress subtly reshaped with hourglass boning, followed by dramatically plunging bodysuits and a little black dress framed by sculptural frills. These precise silhouettes were balanced by wide tuxedo shirts, molded satin bibs and draped jersey pieces designed to shift easily between dressed-up and relaxed.

Roseberry also expanded Schiaparelli’s everyday wardrobe, bringing broderie anglaise and spiral knits into the mix alongside the house’s more recognisable sculptural codes. There were still plenty of va-va-voom moments, including frilled suits worn bare-chested with gilded nipple covers, while the closing looks paid tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli with archival embroideries, including colourful vegetable motifs from 1941.

After seven years at the house, Roseberry described the collection as a moment of renewal and recommitment. The soundtrack, moving through Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott and Faith Evans, reinforced the lighter mood. Schiaparelli remained unmistakably itself, but Spring 2027 suggested a designer allowing the house to breathe, with glamour made more flexible and a wardrobe designed to move with its wearer.
