Masha Popova Fall 2026

At London Fashion Week, Masha Popova turned the bedroom into a stage for rebellion. Her Fall Winter 2026 collection, titled Intimate Hours, explored what happens when privacy becomes performance. Inspired by the psychological charge of the bedroom, Popova presented a deeply sensual lineup where denim met desire and lingerie met streetwear. It was a world of vulnerability and control, where bumster jeans returned with a knowing wink and tailored coats revealed flashes of HotPants beneath. Popova described the collection as “psychosexual,” and it showed. The result was cheeky, self-aware, and unapologetically erotic.

Best known for her mastery of denim, Popova expanded her material vocabulary this season with leather, hand-brushed fabrics and satin that glowed under the lights. She borrowed cues from Jim Jarmusch’s gothic romance Only Lovers Left Alive, channelling a twilight sensuality through slinky bathrobes, satin slips and distressed jackets that hung with the ease of undone nightwear. Short shorts and body-hugging knits came alive with texture and attitude, while bomber jackets and brushed jersey pieces redefined the line between softness and strength. Even her outerwear seemed to move like sleepwear, as though the garments had lived through the night before stepping into daylight.

The collection also revealed a subtler evolution in Popova’s craft. Beneath the provocation lay a thoughtful exploration of fabrication and sustainability. Hidden floral graphics layered beneath coloured leather will fade naturally over time, and every technical detail was crafted from plant-based fibres. Beauty looks completed the vision with glossy lips, candy-coloured wigs and playful fangs that hinted at nocturnal mischief. Intimate Hours felt like a return to form for a designer unafraid to make the body her subject. It was fashion that seduced, provoked and ultimately reminded us that intimacy itself can be an act of defiance.
