Presented in the cryptic elegance of St Martin-in-the-Fields Crypt, the show cast models in black-dominated silhouettes punctuated with flashes of blood red, punk pink, and ivory. Architectural straps, lacing systems, and bondage-inspired details shaped the body while questioning power, control, and convention. Chains met delicate fabrics, raw edges resisted polish, and dead roses and thistles appeared as emblems of beauty forged through survival. Here, clothing is not a comfort; it is a manifesto, designed to be confronted and remembered.
Richmond’s signature mix of punk references and Gothic sensibility was rendered with unexpected refinement. Velvet tuxedo jackets bore mother-of-pearl buttons spelling “Angel” and “Devil,” leather-strapped capes and capelets shimmered with silvery grommets, and prim collars lent contrast to little black dresses.
