Casablanca Spring 2027

Charaf Tajer took Casablanca to Brazil for Spring 2027, channelling the country’s colour, music and tropical energy into one of the label’s most exuberant collections yet.

For the show, Tajer returned to the Espace Niemeyer in Paris, the futuristic Brazilian-designed landmark that had fascinated him since childhood. Inside its curved concrete dome, palm trees and tropical plants created a small oasis as models circled the space to a soundtrack of Brazilian club music. The setting made the collection’s inspiration feel less like a theme and more like a genuine expression of Tajer’s affection for the country.

The palette was pure Ipanema: citrus orange, lime green, hibiscus pink and Brazilian flag yellow appeared across easy, holiday-ready silhouettes. Boxy shorts and matching tops came in freshly squeezed orange, while a slim silk pyjama suit took the green of a caipirinha. Garden prints covered halter tops, fluid skirts and cabana shirts, alongside sunset-toned sarongs and playful shark motifs inspired by Brazil’s Atlantic coast.

Hibiscus became a recurring signature, appearing as oversized prints on surfer shorts and patchwork jackets, delicate appliqués on white knitwear and piqué shirts, and even as the decoration on a tailored white suit. Carnival arrived through swishy fringe skirts and skinny trousers, while a sparkling bikini top made from two oversized pink hibiscus flowers provided one of the collection’s more playful moments. Multicoloured knit halter dresses and striped flapper styles completed the look.

The accessories continued the holiday fantasy, from pastel overnight bags to a Casablanca-branded surfboard. And the Brazilian story will continue beyond Paris: the collection is set to travel to Brazil for Carnival early next year, with Casablanca planning a major event alongside Alma. For Tajer, it is a return to a place that clearly means more than just a source of inspiration. Spring 2027 was Casablanca in full colour, with Paris providing the runway and Brazil providing the rhythm.
