Burberry Fall 2026

Burberry closed London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 with a spectacular vision of winter in the city, transforming Old Billingsgate Market into a cinematic London after dark. Creative Director Daniel Lee recreated the capital’s iconic architecture, including a striking replica of Tower Bridge adorned with twinkling lights. Resin “puddles” dotted the runway, echoing the damp streets outside, while deep blue lighting and black velvet seating set the stage for a show that captured the pulse of London nightlife. With 56 looks spanning eveningwear, outerwear, and statement staples, Lee’s collection celebrated city living, where every character is “going out,” embracing both style and movement.

Trench coats, Burberry’s signature heritage piece, were reimagined for modern life. Feminine interpretations featured ruffled collars, belted silhouettes, and silk faille pleating, while shearling coats, bouclé styles, and leather trenches carried subtle embellishments like fringe or beadwork reminiscent of rainfall. A standout piece was a leather trench woven with a vintage map of London, referencing the Thames and city streets, appearing on scarves and show invitations, and even on Lee’s own T-shirt backstage. Oversized silhouettes, 1980s-style epaulettes, and intricate detailing gave classic forms a confident, contemporary edge while remaining deeply wearable.

Eveningwear dominated the collection, rendered in buttery leather, rich jewel tones, and fluid satin. Dresses featured hand-beaded knitwear, Art Deco-inspired bugle-bead embroidery, and playful tassels that moved with every step. Lee’s approach combined glamour with functionality, offering looks designed for the city’s winter nights, from intimate members’ clubs to grand soirées. Styles ranged from sleek black plonge leather gowns to plum and burgundy satin pieces that captured the sophistication and vibrancy of London’s nightlife.

Outerwear remained central to Burberry’s narrative, with trenches, bombers, and raincoats receiving tactile updates in lambskin, silk poplin, and raw-edge shearling. Lee’s collection emphasized versatility: rib-knit dresses, brushed mohair hoodies, and leather pieces could layer seamlessly, while stand-out shearlings and patchwork coats made practical luxury feel effortless. By merging heritage with innovation, the designer reinforced Burberry’s position as a brand where craftsmanship, tradition, and contemporary attitude coexist.

For Fall/Winter 2026, Burberry presented a cinematic vision of London, one that celebrates both heritage and modernity. From the Nova check to reinterpreted trenches and statement eveningwear, Daniel Lee’s collection brought drama, elegance, and practicality to the fore. With rich textures, dramatic silhouettes, and architectural inspirations drawn from the city itself, Burberry FW26 is a masterclass in urban sophistication, capturing the beauty of London’s winter nights and the energy of its streets.
