BFC Announces The Official London Fashion Week Schedule

London Fashion Week is upon us again, with the British Fashion Council unveiling an exciting lineup for February’s shows, set to run from the 15th to the 20th. As we look forward to a week packed with creativity and innovation, here are the designers who are bound to make waves on the runways.

CSM

Central Saint Martins asserts itself as one of the pinnacles of fashion schools with students flying in from all over the world. It holds a steady position on the list of noteworthy shows to anticipate, offering a sense of innovation and curiosity as you observe the entrance of each successive model on the runway. Notable fashion designers who have passed through its halls include:

John Galliano

A true fashion visionary, John Galliano is celebrated for his theatrical flair and ability to craft collections that tell elaborate stories. Known for his time at Dior, Galliano consistently pushed the boundaries of fashion, blending romanticism with avant-garde drama. His designs are often complex, reflecting a deep love of history and couture craftsmanship.

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney has built an empire on sustainable luxury. Renowned for her eco-conscious approach to fashion, McCartney redefined what it means to be ethical in a high-fashion world. Her collections are sleek, modern, and wearable, blending clean lines with a commitment to cruelty-free, sustainable practices.

Alexander McQueen

Few designers have left as indelible a mark on fashion as Alexander McQueen. Known for his dark romanticism and jaw-dropping runway shows, McQueen’s work was often described as provocative art. He blended impeccable tailoring with a gothic sensibility, making him one of the most revered and influential designers of the 21st century.

Zac Posen

Zac Posen rose to prominence with his sculptural, red-carpet-ready gowns, beloved by celebrities and fashion insiders alike. His designs are all about feminine glamour, characterized by elegant, form-fitting silhouettes and intricate draping. Posen’s work exudes old-school Hollywood charm with a modern twist.

Sarah Burton

As the creative director of Alexander McQueen after the designer’s passing, Sarah Burton has expertly carried on his legacy while imprinting her own softer, more ethereal aesthetic. Her work continues to balance McQueen's signature dark romanticism with elements of nature and femininity, as seen in her breathtaking, often intricately detailed collections.

Riccardo Tisci

Riccardo Tisci made his mark at Givenchy, where he brought an edgy, urban sensibility to the storied house. Known for fusing streetwear elements with high fashion, Tisci helped pioneer the luxury-meets-sportswear trend. Now at Burberry, his vision continues to blend traditional British heritage with a modern, forward-thinking approach.

Other designers we are excited to see back on schedule include:

KWK by Kay Kwok

KWK by Kay Kwok is set to stand out with its futuristic designs that teeter on the line between fashion and sculpture. Known for his exploration of surreal shapes and exaggerated silhouettes, Kwok’s creations feel like they’ve stepped right out of a sci-fi film. While futuristic fashion can sometimes come off as inaccessible, KWK manages to strike a balance between avant-garde and wearable art. This season, expect gravity-defying structures and an otherworldly color palette that should electrify the LFW runway.

JW Anderson

In just over 15 years, JW Anderson has established itself as one of the most interesting brands of our time, blurring the lines between masculine and feminine fashion. Jonathan Anderson’s ability to pull off gender-fluid designs with ease has attracted attention from both critics and the fashion-forward alike. His knack for reinvention, mixed with bold silhouettes, has seen JW Anderson emerge as a fixture on red carpets and in editorials alike. This February, watch for clever references to cultural icons and innovative fabrics. Anderson’s shows rarely disappoint.

Dilara Findikoglu

Dilara Findikoglu is a name that’s been buzzing in fashion circles for months. The Turkish-British designer, whose Gothic sensibility mixes historical references with a rebellious twist, has taken over social media. Celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Billie Eilish have been spotted in her pieces, making her designs instantly recognizable and coveted. Expect corsets, leather, and intricate embroidery in her February show—her aesthetics have always leaned into subversive fashion, and this season should be no exception.

Richard Quinn

Richard Quinn continues to reign as a master of excess and eccentricity. His collections are a love letter to maximalism, with bold prints, oversized silhouettes, and an unapologetic use of color. Quinn, who famously received his Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design from Her Majesty herself, has a knack for mixing elegance with drama. This season, we expect a theatrical presentation that pushes boundaries, yet with a sense of polish that makes Quinn’s work utterly luxurious.

Edward Crutchley

Edward Crutchley’s designs often draw from historical references, blended seamlessly with modern luxury. Known for his appreciation of craft and his ability to work with textiles in ways that feel both timeless and of-the-moment, Crutchley’s shows are an ode to British heritage, but they’re anything but stuffy. This season, Crutchley is likely to continue this exploration of textiles, with fluid, voluminous shapes that merge tradition with contemporary fashion.

Masha Popova

Masha Popova is making a name for herself with collections that embody a youthful, rebellious spirit. A graduate of CSM, Popova taps into the Gen Z mindset, producing pieces that feel effortless yet bold. She leans into deconstructed silhouettes, with denim often playing a starring role. Popova’s work feels like a commentary on youth culture itself—unapologetic, rough around the edges, but undeniably cool. Expect distressed details and streetwear influences in her LFW collection this season.
