Sagio Fall 2026

For Fall/Winter 2026, Sagio approached the runway as a meditation on identity and the quiet instability of modern life. The collection explored the tension between who we are privately and the personas we construct for the outside world, a duality intensified by the constant visibility of contemporary culture. In a moment defined by artificial intelligence, political turbulence, and the relentless gaze of social media, the designer proposed fashion as a way to consciously navigate those shifting selves. Clothing became a tool for transformation, allowing the wearer to choose which version of themselves to present on any given day.

The emotional narrative of the collection drew inspiration from the theatrical world of the eighteenth century, particularly the spectacle and scrutiny surrounding Marie Antoinette and the court of Versailles. Like the aristocratic figures of that era, today’s individuals perform their identities under near constant observation, whether through surveillance or the curated visibility of digital life. Sagio translated this historical parallel into garments that embraced drama and exaggeration while remaining rooted in contemporary sensibility.

Architectural silhouettes, sculptural volumes, and a striking reinterpretation of the panier skirt formed the visual backbone of the collection. The designer and their team spent months developing a neo-panier structure that feels sensual and modern rather than costume-like, reshaping a historical form into something fluid and present. The result was a wardrobe that treats identity as something layered and performative, encouraging wearers to embrace the multiplicity within themselves rather than trying to resolve it.
