Onitsuka Tiger Fall 2026
For Onitsuka Tiger Fall 2026, creative director Andrea Pompilio transformed the runway into a fictional campus alive with color, character, and confidence. The show took place during Milan Fashion Week and embodied what the designer called “The Aesthetics of Ma,” a Japanese concept that explores the meaningful space between things. Here, that space existed between sportswear and tailoring, utility and fantasy, function and charm. The result was a lively, youthful collection that blurred uniforms, streetwear, and romance into something unapologetically hybrid.
Schoolgirl Lolitas, eccentric professors, and skater boys mingled on the catwalk, all dressed in clothes that balanced precision and play. Pleated miniskirts and cropped blazers were styled with ribbed socks and pointy-toed kitten-heeled versions of the iconic Mexico 66 sneakers. Ruffled georgette blouses, sailor stripes, and pastel dresses brought a dose of sugary nostalgia, while fuzzy fleeces, checked shirts, and feathered skirts grounded the lineup in texture and practicality. The collection also introduced the Mexico 66 Square sneaker in lizard prints and floral motifs, as well as slingback heels and studded crossbody bags adorned with charms shaped like bows, lipstick holders, and tiny tigers.
Color told its own story. Mint green, candy pink, ochre, and sky blue collided with earthy browns and military greens, creating a rhythm that was both coordinated and chaotic. Each look captured Pompilio’s fascination with self-expression through contrast. Onitsuka Tiger Fall 2026 proved that sportswear can be theatrical, that function can coexist with fantasy, and that fashion’s most interesting moments often live in the space between worlds.
