Lazoschmidl Men’s Spring 2027

Lazoschmidl’s Spring 2027 collection unfolded as a study in ease, intimacy and off-duty dressing, as Josef Lazo and Andreas Schmidl pushed their signature camp aesthetic into a softer register. Presented at the Goethe-Institut in Paris, the collection reflected a shift towards domesticity and leisure, drawing inspiration from the rituals of staying in as much as stepping out.

The designers framed the season around the idea of “lazy days” — moments shaped by comfort, spontaneity and a loosening of public presentation. That sentiment translated into a wardrobe built for home environments, late-night conversations and unplanned trips outside, where the boundary between underwear and outerwear is increasingly blurred.

Robes in striped cotton, satin and patchworked fabrications were paired with pastel briefs and ribbed tanks finished with contrast piping. Pajama trousers, drawstring shorts and sleeveless tops formed the foundation of the collection, rendered in muted, nostalgic tones. Animal motifs, including giraffe prints in softened palettes, added a playful edge, while low-slung jeans revealed boxer waistbands in a nod to early-2000s styling.

Rather than treating underwear as hidden, the collection placed it at the centre of the silhouette, reframing it as a visible, everyday uniform. The result was a relaxed system of dressing that embraced imperfection and ease, while retaining the brand’s focus on precise construction and controlled eccentricity.

Referencing the visual language of long television binges and familiar domestic interiors, the collection drew on the aesthetics of comfort television and lived-in spaces — floral prints, soft furnishings and faded palettes recontextualised into contemporary menswear. Across the lineup, familiar homewear archetypes were reworked into garments that felt both private and presentable, continuing Lazoschmidl’s ongoing exploration of intimacy and self-presentation.
