Versace Unveils Spring/Summer 2026 Campaign
Versace’s Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, titled An Embodied Community, presents the House at its most visceral and uncompromising. Rather than relying on conventional imagery, the campaign foregrounds the body as both subject and statement, a living site of style, sexuality, and attitude. A constellation of cultural figures, athletes, artists, and street-cast models — from Drake Carr and Lexee Smith to Selena Forrest and Chu Wong — inhabits the campaign, emphasising collectivity, instinct, and self-possession over hierarchy or celebrity. Under the artistic direction of Dario Vitale, each figure contributes to a shared energy that is bold, unfiltered, and wholly Versace.
The campaign unfolds through three distinct photographic voices, each interpreting the collection in their own language. Tania Franco Klein brings cinematic intensity, her Mexico City–based practice producing saturated, desire-charged images that blur the line between performance and reality. Frank Lebon injects raw immediacy, using collage, chemical distortion, and analogue techniques to capture street-level urgency and underground energy. Steven Meisel, a long-time collaborator with the House, anchors the campaign with his signature frontal glamour, distilling power, seduction, and style into images that are both timeless and sharply contemporary. Together, these perspectives construct a world where couture collides with streetwear, elegance meets provocation, and sacred and profane coexist without hierarchy.
Versace SS26 is not about storytelling in the traditional sense, but about embodied experience. Gesture, posture, and proximity convey meaning, with clothing activating a sensibility rather than illustrating a theme. The campaign resists polish in favour of friction, allowing each photographer’s vision to remain intact while contributing to a larger, collective mood. The result is a statement of presence rather than promotion, a celebration of instinct, intimacy, and community, presenting Versace as a house that refuses to soften its identity or compromise its uncompromising spirit.
