Etro Men Fall/Winter 2026

At Etro, Marco de Vincenzo turned instinct into spectacle. The Fall 2026 menswear collection unfolded as a curious blend of the refined and the fantastical, where animal heads replaced human ones on mannequins and a tiny rhino pin adorned the designer’s own lapel. Inspired by a 1997 Etro campaign that merged humanity with nature, de Vincenzo revisited the brand’s past to explore its emotional core: the tension between intellect and instinct. The presentation, at once surreal and sophisticated, invited guests to see familiar Etro codes through a lens of wit and curiosity.

The collection itself balanced classic tailoring with whimsy. Silky paisley shirts and richly textured tweed coats appeared alongside dinner jackets trimmed with feathers and leather biker pieces embroidered with deer and owl faces. Colours moved between rust, tawny brown and forest green, creating warmth and texture without falling into nostalgia. De Vincenzo’s interest in animal iconography became a way to express freedom and individuality, transforming heritage motifs into something tactile and unexpected.

What made the collection feel compelling was its sense of self-awareness. De Vincenzo, now several years into his tenure, continues to define Etro as Italian taste with eccentricity, a place where bourgeois polish meets free-spirited play. Robes and pajama-inspired tailoring reflected this ease, as did the subtle theatricality woven throughout. The result was a collection that managed to feel instinctive and intelligent at once, a celebration of Etro’s heritage that never took itself too seriously.
