Elie Saab Fall 2026
For Fall/Winter 2026, Elie Saab presented a collection for Elie Saab titled Midnight in Manhattan, drawing inspiration from the 1990s New York art scene. The collection balanced intellectual sophistication with sensual glamour, unfolding through two complementary moods. By day, the Saab woman embraced powerful downtown tailoring, built around architectural jackets with rounded shoulders, cinched waists, and exaggerated hips. Precision cut skirts appeared in tulip or tube shapes, while trousers were elongated and sleek. Rendered in wool, tweed, velvet, and crocodile effect prints in midnight black and charcoal tones, these looks projected a confident urban elegance.
As evening fell, the collection shifted toward dramatic romanticism. Organza and chiffon gowns draped fluidly around the body as though sculpted directly on a mannequin, while hand painted florals on mirrored leather referenced the expressive brushstrokes of Cy Twombly. Sequinned tulle, lace trims, and layered embroidery heightened the theatrical mood, while taffeta dresses with puffed skirts and fitted bodices evoked the glamour of gallery openings and late night celebrations.
Across the runway, Saab explored contrasts between strength and delicacy. High neck lace gowns and sheer fabrics were paired with glossy patent leather pieces, creating tension between fragility and structure. Dark floral motifs and sculptural appliqués introduced a theme often described as “Floral Noir,” while invisible embroidery techniques allowed botanical designs to appear as if floating directly on the skin. The result was a sophisticated evolution for the house, merging gothic romanticism, modern sensuality, and the meticulous craftsmanship that defines the Elie Saab aesthetic.
