Christian Wijnants Fall 2026

At Paris Fashion Week, Christian Wijnants presented the Christian Wijnants Fall 2026 collection, a quiet meditation inspired by the calm of Japanese zen gardens. Designer Christian Wijnants looked back to visits to Kyoto and other contemplative landscapes across Japan, where traditional gardens offer a moment of stillness and reflection. That atmosphere shaped the Christian Wijnants Fall Winter 2026 collection, which the designer described as a season of introspection during uncertain times.

The Christian Wijnants Fall 2026 collection translated the visual language of zen gardens into sculptural knitwear, a category where the designer has long excelled. Fine circular patterns drawn in sand, known as karesansui, inspired swirling motifs across the Christian Wijnants Fall Winter 2026 lineup. One standout piece, the “infinity knit” sweater, featured flowing lines that echoed those meditative garden patterns. Earthy tones reinforced the connection to nature, with forest greens and moss shades appearing throughout the Christian Wijnants Fall 2026 collection, including a plush alpaca and mohair coat created with fabric produced by Steiff.

Texture and layering played a central role in the Christian Wijnants Fall 2026 show. Prints created in collaboration with Quentin Chamard-Bois translated abstract landscapes of earth and sky onto wool jackets and jersey pieces. Tailoring also gained prominence within the Christian Wijnants Fall Winter 2026 collection, with jackets cut longer at the front and shorter at the back to create a subtle trompe l’oeil effect. Curved silhouettes, cocoon shapes and softly defined waists completed the lineup, giving the Christian Wijnants Fall 2026 collection a sense of quiet movement that mirrored the contemplative beauty of the gardens that inspired it.
