Cecilie Bahnsen Fall 2026

For Fall 2026, Cecilie Bahnsen turned her presentation into something closer to a rehearsal than a traditional runway show. Staged inside a youth sports centre, the performance featured dancers from Oráma Atelier, the Marseille-based group led by Myrto Georgiadi. As the audience looked on, performers stretched, spun and leapt through the space before finishing with a choreographed routine. The format offered a rare opportunity to see Bahnsen’s clothes not just displayed but truly in motion.

The collaboration had been developing for months, with the dancers visiting Bahnsen’s studio for fittings and movement sessions that shaped the garments themselves. The collection, titled “Practice,” kept the designer’s familiar signatures intact. Candy-coloured pastels, airy silhouettes and blossom-like textures appeared throughout, but this season they felt less fragile. Bias cut silk satin dresses skimmed the body before opening into movement at the waist, while technical organza and perforated embroidery gave volume without heaviness.

There was also a new practicality woven into the romance. Fleece layers, recycled nylon jackets and silk puffers tied loosely at the shoulders added a more grounded sensibility. Straps made from cord repurposed from vintage The North Face backpacks ran across the fronts of dresses, introducing a rugged counterpoint to Bahnsen’s delicate world. The result felt like a subtle evolution. Her aesthetic remains unmistakably pretty, but here it appeared more physical, more lived in, and better suited to the rhythms of everyday life.
