Balenciaga Fall 2026
For Fall/Winter 2026, Pierpaolo Piccioli presented an emotionally charged runway for Balenciaga, closing the fifth day of Paris Fashion Week with a dramatic coed collection titled Clairobscur. The show revealed Piccioli’s evolving vision for the house through 81 looks that balanced theatrical intensity with refined tailoring. Oversized wool coats with expanded collars, sharp houndstooth tailoring, and sweeping leather capes established a bold silhouette, while feathers, florals, and sequined gowns introduced movement and texture across the runway.
The presentation also marked Piccioli’s menswear debut for the house, where vivid primary colored wool outerwear, hooded coats, furry parkas, and graphic gradients created a powerful visual rhythm. Womenswear mirrored the same dramatic energy with sleek gowns, sculptural outerwear, and leather pieces that reinforced the designer’s signature blend of romance and structure. Details such as fireman clasp coats, waxed denim Canadian tuxedos, and off shoulder outerwear contributed to the collection’s layered sense of tension between elegance and edge.
In collaboration with Sam Levinson, creator of the television series Euphoria, the show unfolded against a cinematic backdrop of projected scenes from the upcoming season, amplifying the emotional atmosphere. The soundtrack, featuring music by Labrinth and Rosalía, heightened the sense of drama. With this collection, Piccioli continued to redefine Balenciaga’s direction following the era of Demna, merging cinematic storytelling with couture level craftsmanship to craft a powerful new chapter for the house.
