SAGABOI Fall Winter 2026 Runway Show

Sagaboi’s Fall Winter 2026 menswear collection, Riddimical Ambush, landed with quiet authority on the runway, articulating Caribbean history through disciplined tailoring and precise rhythm. Creative Director Geo K. Cooper draws from his Merikin heritage, a lineage of African American freedom fighters who settled in Trinidad after the War of 1812, to explore how colonial uniform was absorbed, repurposed and transformed into a language of presence and power. Here, uniform is never costume; it is structure, rehearsal and intent, expressed in double-breasted tailoring, military-informed outerwear and meticulous civic references.

The collection pulses with rhythm. Central to the concept is the steel pan, the only acoustic instrument invented in the Caribbean, whose precision and coordination inform every silhouette, stitch and motif. Embroidered pan sticks appear across shirts, waistcoats and outerwear, translating sound into form. Leopard is reclaimed as a marker of authority, nodding to ancestral memory and Pan-African consciousness rather than decorative flair. Colour and material are composed: black, navy, khaki and cream dominate, punctuated by red corduroy, muted metallics and restrained prints, giving the collection a quiet composure rather than spectacle.

Standout pieces speak in the language of ceremony and defence. The floor-length RAMAJAY coat functions as cultural armour, the Merikin Marine Jacket in red and navy carries pan stick embroidery, and the Steel Pan Vest translates rhythm into structure. Crochet headwear and breastplates, crafted by women in Trinidad, extend the collection’s vocabulary of labour, resilience and collective authorship. Every element is disciplined, deliberate and unmistakably Caribbean.

With Riddimical Ambush, Sagaboi asserts itself as a menswear house where history, culture and refinement are inseparable. The collection is not about fantasy or spectacle; it is about presence, order and dignity worn with intention. Through line, rhythm and structure, Cooper demonstrates how Caribbean identity operates as a global design language, quietly commanding attention while making power look effortless.
