Stone Island Designs Custom Wardrobe for Dave’s 2026 Tour

Stone Island has unveiled a landmark collaboration with British rapper and songwriter Dave for his highly anticipated The Boy Who Played the Harp 2026 tour. Marking the first time the Italian technical fashion brand has created a bespoke performance wardrobe for a musician, the project reflects Stone Island’s long-standing philosophy of “Community as a Form of Research.” Alongside the stage designs, the partnership will also include a limited-edition release and exclusive retail installations celebrating the tour and Dave’s latest album.

The custom wardrobe merges Stone Island’s technical innovation with Dave’s personal style and deep connection to the brand. Developed from pieces in the artist’s own Stone Island archive, the modular stage wardrobe includes standout designs such as an iridescent double-layer metal mesh jumpsuit with an integrated zipper system and an over-dyed nylon hooded tracksuit. The tracksuit introduces a new evolution of the brand’s grid camouflage print, finished with colour-matched reflective tape in red, bluette and grey — a striking look designed to respond dynamically to stage lighting during live performances on the The Boy Who Played the Harp tour.

Additional pieces in the Stone Island Dave collaboration include hooded jackets with attachable black mesh vests and transformable nylon canvas trousers. Each garment features a highly reflective plated camouflage pattern created through an innovative print transfer technique applied over a glass microsphere coating. The interaction between fabric, print and reflective film creates a layered depth of colour and texture that is synonymous with Stone Island’s technical experimentation. Dave’s touring team will also wear coordinated looks, including Nylon Metal garment-dyed hooded tracksuits and T-shirts featuring serigraphic reflective camouflage graphics.

To accompany the launch, Dover Street Market will host a special exhibition titled Stone Island Selected Works: Archival Pieces From The Collection Of Dave ‘016–‘026. Co-curated by Dave and Stone Island archivist Archie Maher, the installation showcases the custom wardrobe alongside archival pieces worn by the rapper throughout his career. Presented within a freestanding plexiglass structure that highlights material construction, the exhibition offers rare public access to Dave’s personal Stone Island archive, documenting a decade-long relationship between artist and brand.

The installation will later travel to the Stone Island flagship in New York’s SoHo ahead of the tour’s NYC stop on 29 April 2026. The project will also be accompanied by a documentary film shot by photographer Bolade Banjo, offering an intimate behind-the-scenes look at Dave’s touring process. With the success of his third studio album The Boy Who Played the Harp, which follows chart-topping releases like Psychodrama and We're All Alone in This Together, the Stone Island collaboration further cements Dave’s status as one of the most influential British artists of his generation — and places technical fashion firmly on the modern concert stage.
