Bottega Veneta Just Released Its New “Veneta” Bag
Bottega Veneta has reintroduced the Veneta bag for Summer 2026, offering a contemporary take on one of the house’s most recognisable designs. Originally created in the 1970s by co-founder Renzo Zengiaro as a soft, body-contouring sack, the bag defied the era’s structured silhouettes and went on to become a namesake icon when relaunched in 2002.
For this season, Creative Director Louise Trotter has revisited the design across four sizes, including the new Baby Veneta, and introduced a padded Intrecciato weave crafted from nappa leather strips. The result is a tactile, cushioned texture that emphasises the understated luxury the brand is known for.
Lined in soft lambskin with a zip closure and internal pocket, the bag combines practicality with elegance. Available in 11 colourways, from Blue Venezia to Lava Red and Nocciola, the Veneta remains a quiet statement piece, one that balances heritage and modernity with effortless sophistication.
