Nicklas Skovgaard & HOFF Partner for Copenhagen Fashion Week
At Copenhagen Fashion Week yesterday, Danish womenswear designer Nicklas Skovgaard turned heads not just with his AW26 collection, but with a fresh take on footwear as fashion statements. In a first-time partnership with international sneaker label HOFF, Skovgaard curated a selection of the brand’s Bridge Satin and Bridge Suede sneakers, pairing them with his runway looks to highlight the tension between discipline and glamour that defines his latest collection.
The collaboration between HOFF and Skovgaard marks a deliberate shift in how sneakers are being presented on the runway. Far from a casual afterthought, the HOFF sneakers became a key stylistic element, grounding the elevated femininity of Skovgaard’s silhouettes with a modern, urban sensibility. The Bridge Satin and Bridge Suede models in shades like Mimosa, Lilac, Rose, Red, Mint, and Light Grey offered a contemporary counterpoint to the controlled romanticism of AW26, reinforcing the duality at the heart of the collection.
Inspired by the 1937 Danish film Mille, Marie og Mig (Mille, Marie and Me), Skovgaard explores identity and transformation, balancing restraint with excess and discipline with glamour. In this context, the HOFF sneakers weren’t just accessories - they were conceptual tools. “For me, shoes are such a defining part of putting together an outfit,” Skovgaard explained. “There was a really interesting link between combining some of the looks we did for this collection with a pair of sneakers that felt quite different in vibe. The collection is so much about that duality, so it was a perfect fit.”
The partnership is also a reflection of HOFF’s ongoing commitment to working with emerging designers and creative visionaries. The Spanish sneaker brand, born in Elche- the historical heart of artisanal shoemaking has built its reputation on merging tradition with contemporary design. Under Creative Director David Tourniaire-Beauciel, HOFF has consistently sought collaborations that push the brand beyond streetwear into new fashion contexts, turning each sneaker into a statement of identity, style, and culture.
HOFF’s AW26 runway edit included the Bridge Suede in Red, Bridge Satin in Mimosa, Mint, Lilac, and Rose, and Bridge Suede in Light Grey, all available through the HOFF E-Store. Each design exemplifies the brand’s philosophy: sneakers as more than footwear, but as instruments of storytelling and style, able to anchor a collection’s narrative while remaining wearable in the real world.
